The CI360 Black Belt course is taught with relevance to industries both in the transactional/service and operational/production sectors. Examples and interactive exercises help to teach the concepts to the adult learner. This course builds on the knowledge of the Green Belt, allowing the student to tackle projects with greater scope and impact.
The Body of Knowledge (BOK) aligns with the American Society for Quality (ASQ) BOK. For more detail about the specific topics and the targeted learning levels, please download the Black Belt Body of Knowledge document.
There is both a project and an exam requirement for certification of Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. Each student is required to complete a Black Belt level project on an actual process requiring improvement.
There is coaching support available throughout project deployment to ensure that the project objectives are met.
Each student is required to obtain a minimum grade of 70% to be certified by CI360. However, we do our best to make sure you are successful in achieving or even exceeding that target!!
Successful completion of the Black Belt certification requirements will result in a certificate of achievement from Mohawk College or Mohawk College Enterprise.
Students who receive a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certificate may use LSSBB as a designation after their name.
Course certificates may also apply toward professional designation credits.
